I have a three year old nephew and his mother (my sister) is crazy about ballroom dancing. So she wants to send her son to a ballet school. She says, "The earlier the better".
Of course it's not my son, but I want to dissuade her.
This kiddy goes to nursery, stays there till 2 p.m. and then his parents bring him to swimming pool or gymnastics and such activities continue till the evening. It grieves me to look at him, he is so tired at the end of a day.
What is your oppinion to the point?
Probably I lay on the colours too thickly, but to my mind 3 year old children should better play in garden or such like.

Oh, my...
Agree with you, 3 years old child isn't ready physically for such load, not saying about his emotional tiredness. I think, there would be better results and less overload if he had only one hobby. Maybe you realy should speak about this with your sister..

Has anybody asked what does the nephew think about it?

One well-known doctor said, that a happy child is first of all a healthy child. Active street games in more healthy and fun, I think Smile .
Concerning ballroom dance ... for the boy?
Unsure
In my opinion, he must really love it.
