The life threatening disease of a child, can shake the core of even the strongest of families, and as parents, we want to make the right decisions on behalf of our little ones. Sometimes seeing past the grief and trying to make those decisions on our own can be overwhelming. That is why we have provided this section about children and severe illnesses. Diseases like childhood cancer and childhood leukemia can be devastating for a parent to address and in this section we have provided links to resources like a pediatric oncologist, as well as other resources for the sick child and their parents. These family resources can put you in touch with other families and kids who are being faced with life threatening illnesses as well as information about childhood leukemia, childhood cancer and dealing with the psychology of the illness. This section of our site can provide you with links to information and statistics about different types of cancers, different treatment options, as well as pain management resources. In addition to that there are online resources for the whole family, including other children, who may be dealing with their own pain surrounding their sibling’s illness. A pediatric oncologist may direct your child’s treatment, but it is up to you to hold your family together, and the resources in this section can provide you with not only the information but the support to do just that. We want you to know that you have resources that you can count on during this difficult time, so please take advantage of all the links and resources in this section. Also, be sure to let other parents know which resources you found the most helpful by subscribing to our site and taking the opportunity to rate the links on these pages.
